Golden Shorkies are hard to get with the true Shorkie breeding. The True Shorkie breeding is always a Pure Bred AKC Shih Tzu mom and a pure bred AKC Yorkie Dad.
Just a quick note. The little now has a name. It's Abby as in Abby Cadabby the Sesame Street character. She got the name because Abby Cadabby is a fairy in training with big eyes and tufts of hair and well......this little girl seemed so similar. lolol
Things are going well. She's eating. She pees outside without a single mishap in the house or her crate. I got her a Pack and Play and it's stayed dry as well. She sleeps throughout the night in her crate and is just great with that. She has a vet appointment tomorrow for her first local check up. We had some separation issues this morning but that was before I had the Pack and Play. I ended up taking her to work with me for a few hours then when we returned home I put her in the PnP with some toys, food and water, and a puppy pad. I've "disappeared" off and on today and she's tolerated it a little longer each time. I will stay home tomorrow trying to increase her time of comfort without being able to see me, including actually going into the garage or around the block a bit.
Well, that's about it. I won't email you daily, I promise. I just thought you'd like to know that things are moving along pretty well.
She is the most calm dog I've ever seen. If we get this separation thing under control, we're golden! lololol Wish me luck.
I was amazed at your story about the deer. I know that must have been upsetting. Deer are all over the place here and sadly many have been hit by passing cars. I've been lucky not to have experienced anything first hand. Thank goodness that guy was there and able to put the poor thing out of its misery. I know that couldn't have been easy for either of you. There are so many bad people in the world. It's reassuring to meet good people.
