Always ask for the breeders home address with a phone number to match the address for when you call the operator to investigate that address. If they can't post their home address and home phone number on their website RUN !

800, 888, 866, 877 are Toll Free phone numbers can't be traced to any Home address and never send money to a P.O. Box ! People that do this are hiding something.

WHAT KIND OF A HOME BREEDER WITH ALL HOME RAISED BABIES HAS THAT MANY TOLL FREE NUMBERS ??? :(

A Good Breeder always want to show off their puppies and adult dogs in person at the Address posted on Their Shichon puppy website or Shorkie puppy websites.

A Good breeder Always make you welcomed at their home even if you spend the entire day picking out your new puppy.

It's as important to choose the right breeder as it is to choose the right dog, and here are a few tips on finding a good breeder.

Make sure you are buying from a breeder and not a on line puppy Broker. On line puppy brokers don't own the puppies they sell on line.

Brokers will charge a outrageous price and make claims like, They created the breed, They are Master Breeders, or they do genetic testing on Hundreds of Adult dogs but can't prove testing on Hundreds of Adult dogs sitting in the puppy mill.

Brokers don't breed or raise dogs. They are only there to post the puppies on a website and make a large profit off the puppy they sell to you.

Don't be taken in by Home Raised Babies All Raised under foot and in my home. Any one can put anything on a website and if you believe it you are the one taken advantage of .

A puppy broker will hide behind websites and brain wash you with the words "Home Raised Puppies" when in fact they are not Home Raised At All and come from Puppy Mills

Visit the breeder's home or kennel. The premises should be clean and smell good. Avoid breeders who have large numbers of dogs because some puppy mills have Hundreds of dogs. Be careful on line because puppy mill brokers are masquerading as a breeder on line with All Home raised Babies.

It's always best to meet your breeder in person if you can.

Purebred "papers" do not guarantee the health and longevity of the animal. This should not be the only standard you use to pick a dog.

A "USDA Inspected" breeder does Not mean good breeder. The USDA certification requires adherence to minimum standards, based on the Animal Welfare Act. The standards are largely
intended for commercial breeding.

A Good breeder should be able to rattle off the typical characteristics of the breed, what type of family situation is best for this breed, whether the breed is good with small children, the elderly, etc.

A Good breeder should be willing to replace the puppy or refund your money if any genetically-linked illness occurs at any time during the animal's life, or if the animal gets sick and dies soon after coming home with you. If, for any reason, you are not able to keep your pet, a good breeder will gladly take the pet back or help you find a new owner.
